Scribes

These tools are reusable and sturdy for manipulating icing and shaking those cookies. Wash with warm water and soap. (Psst, a few of mine have made it through the dishwasher.)

Tip-less Piping Bags

These anti-burst bags are great for all consistencies of icing. I did try some cheaper versions at first, and I can tell you that a seam burst is a great way to ruin a day. I have also used these with buttercream to make it easy to change colors or refill without the mess.

Meringue Powder

Judee’s is both nut-free and gluten-free. It is a great zip-top bag for the home decorator. They also have flavored meringue powder to make your spring cookies extra special. The recipe is even right on the back of the bag!

Food Coloring

AmeriColor is nut-free and gluten-free. Amazon has the “student” kit which is great for starting out. I have used several brands and this one develops the colors most consistently and has the least amount of bleed.
